Park Avenue Villa is accepting applications for Nursing Assistant/Medication Assistant 1 for assisted living. Ideal candidates have NA or CNA certification and/or MA I qualification and are in good standing with the ND Nurse Aide Registry. Training is available to qualified candidates.
This position directs nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants, certified medical assistants and support personnel. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. Full-time and part-time day, evening, and overnight shifts available. Incentive pay available to eligible employees. Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN or RN program.

St. Luke’s Home is now interviewing interested applicants into part-time and full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Trainee positions. The next CNA training course is tentatively planned for November 2023, with a specific date to be determined. The course generally consists of Monday through Friday, full-time, day shift work until you graduate the course. Then, part-time and full-time day or evening shift positions are available with alternating weekends and holidays. Applicants do not need an active CNA certification to apply. Candidates will be provided paid on-the-job training program consisting of both classroom and hands-on instruction. With these new skills, candidates will be able to work with resident care directly related to activities of daily living, personal assistance needs, meal observation, and much more. This position is responsible for duties including bathing, shaving, nail trimming, reporting concerns to the Charge Nurse, assistance with mealtimes, and working as a CNA on a given unit. Qualities of a Whirlpool Aide must include the ability to work with other team members with resident transfers and in activities of daily living communication. Job abilities include documentation, organization, and planning skills to effectively perform the role. This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities for the position. The Nutrition and Food Services Assistant is responsible for providing food service to residents, guests, and employees under sanitary conditions and for aiding in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. This ad is for part-time, evening shift (4:15 PM to 8:30 PM) positions and full-time, day shift (6:15 AM to 2:15 PM) positions with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Experience or interest in cooking a plus, but not required.
